Casey’s–Hy-Vee Door Buster

The Challenge: Develop an attention-grabbing way of making initial contact with executives at Casey’s convenience store and Hy-Vee supermarket for our banking partner, First National Bank of Omaha on behalf of their client SCHEELS.

The Solution: We took the large quantity of data showing the significant overlap of consumer behavior between brands, and visually expressed that in a physical piece that was delivered to C-suite executives at Casey’s and Hy-Vee.

We started by showing the number of SCHEELS card users that lived within a variety of distances of their local Casey’s or Hy-Vee store, and cross-referenced that with the amount of spend regularly made at similar locations, such as other grocery stores, gas stations, etc. These figures were shown as abstract, over-lapping configurations of circles on individual slides that accompanied specific dollar amounts printed along the bottom of the slides. These fiberglass slides were housed within a custom built box, that allowed the individual slides to be inserted or removed, creating a work of art that could be viewed from the front or back. Along with the slide box was a custom-printed, folding cross with a personalized message and additional data on the potential benefit of a partnership with SCHEELS.
